Happy Dinner in German restaurant with Grade 12 students

In the December, Grade 12 students Tina, Susan, Nick and some others went to Secco with us. It’s really a terrific dinner with classmates.

We tried different dishes about Traditional German's. I ate duck breast and some traditional pickles from Germany. i also ate some mashed potatoes. Its really delicious to eat mashed potatoes with the pickles. But i did not like the Salted vegetable which was made to German. They used their own taste style to make it. But i thought that it's salted and have a special taste which i didn't like it.

I asked the waiter about the pickles, he said that Germans really like to eat some pickles. They made this by themselves. It’s a kind of traditional dished from Germany.

When we got the dinner, the Grade 12 students also talked with us about our questions or problems. They really helpful, especially Tina. She was patient enough to answer our questions about the universities in Canada. We got lots of useful information about the University which we want to go.

I really like the time with friends like this. I got many things which are useful for me.

Exhibition on Dec.4 2009 about WuWeishan

On Dec.4 2009 our class went to Nanjing University to visit one of the famous artist in the world who is called WuWeishan. In this exhibition is showed the art of sculptures

I took photo of this artwork.

But my favourite is the artwork above the page. This artwork describes an old man who was called 'LaoZi'.He is one of the most important people for Chinese. LaoZi produced a book which was called'Tao Te Ching'.This artwork was made of bronze. He looks like a traditional Chinese elder who has long whiskers and is thin.His body looks like a waterfall. He wears Chinese traditional robe that looks like water running to the ground. His right hand shows the symbol of '1'.His facial feathres are duzzy. maybe his eyes are closed. He has no hair and he also has long eyebrow.

When i first saw this artwork, i felt really Chinese. It shows a Chinese traditional elder. I felt a littel unbalanced when i saw this artwork.Because his body looked so long, but head looked small. He shows one finger , the face looks peaceful,exactly. This artwork makes me think about Buddhist monk in the temple. He looks like his mind is full of knowledge,because i have gone to a temple and met a Buddnist monk,he looked so old and thin, he also has long whiskets and of course no hair with him.He wore long robes and looks so old.

LaoZi is a sage not only for the Chinese ,but also foreigners. In his famous book'Tao Te Ching' ,he has said that water is like infinity,it gives itself to all things without distinction and settles into the lowest places without deliberation water was considered to an important thing by 'LaoZi'. His finger showed 'one' which means 1 produce 2,2 produce 3,3 produce everything.These all about the traditional Culture in China.

In this artwork ,Mr Wu showed the most essential thing about LaoZi 's whole life.

I really like this artwork for its Culture about China. I am really interested in Chinese culture and my parents both like studing 'Dao'(morals).This artwork is about LaoZi who was the founder of Taoist school.In his work ,the most outstandings were showed in this outwork and connected perfect. Whatever the apperances or the actions. the artist showed a elder who was full of knowladge.

I think other people will appreciate the artwork. The most successful thing about this art work is that he shows his robe like a waterfall.Itls artistic conception. Giving me many imaginations. I think that if you know something about Chinese traditional Culture. you will feel interested and imagine about this artwork.If you know nothing,maybe you will be interested to know more things about Chinese.Later I'm sure ,you will get involved in the magic of Chinese culture.
