Volunteer work 2
For this term, I went to a kindergarten to be a teacher. At first, I think to be a kindergarten teacher is easy and comfortable. During this volunteer work, I found I totally wrong. I went to RuiLei kindergarten to be an English teacher. At first, these kids were attracted by me and listened carefully. But when time past, they couldn’t pay attention what I was said and some of them made big noise of the class and disturbed other kids. Then the whole class became noisy and without control. And at first, I was patient but when most of them jumped in the classroom and enjoyed doing their things by themselves happily. I found I couldn’t control them until their teacher came and shouted them sit on their chairs.
So I tried to find what my problem about my class is. Maybe they thought my class was boring and they couldn’t understand what I was saying. For this mistake, I changed my style about the class; maybe they need the atmosphere of class to be more cheerful. So I used some pictures and cartoons to show each English letter and used some English songs to attract their attentions. At first, it’s not a good way; they always enjoyed their selves and let me be alone on the stage without any listeners. Then, I tried to be more patient to the kids. I went around the class and smiled with them. When the class became noisy, I just played the music to attract their attention. For 5 hours class, I became tired and throe throat. I can hard to say anything because I always shouted to them and attracted their attention.
Once I considered that kids are lovely and cute, but after the teaching, I totally confused my ideas. It’s the first time I felt the difficult to a teacher when his/her students don’t listen to his/her. For the last class, I became more patient than the first class. And kids maybe more like me than before. They understood some of my questions and most of them can put their hands up first and stand up to answer my questions. I was really happy when I saw they can make a peaceful class with me.
I was glad to be a teacher of RuiLei kindergarten, and I was proud of the teachers who were teaching there. They used their heart to teach their children, our country’s flowers and future. They were tired of the noisy, but they made their selves to suit for this. This volunteer work gave me a good chance to stand on the teacher’s view to know deeply about teachers. Thank for this kindergarten’s leaders and teachers, thanks for them to give us this chance to try to be a teacher. I also thank for these kids. They helped me know deeply about a teacher and how difficult a teacher is. I also thanks for them to help me be succeed at the end. I am impressed about this volunteer service. If I have a chance, I want to go there again.

A service activity organized by a GCA teacher
On April 18, I joined the cooking club which was making some western food from Exchange students and some of our teachers. I was in a group of Melisa. We made a kind of cake which is called muffin.
Our muffins’ favor is the mixture of banana and chocolate. We put the melted butter and all the sugar in the bowl and beat the banana until it becomes liquid. Then put 6 eggs in it and add the flour and yeast. Beat again. Then put the mixture into small cups and put a piece of chocolate inside of it. At last, put them into oven and temperature of heating is 220 degrees, then waiting for 15 minutes。The beautiful and delicious muffin is finished.
I felt really excited during the time when i was making the muffin. Because I like making food for myself and friends. When i make satisfied food to them and i see the people who like my food, i will feel really succeed.
This activity taught us how to make food, especially good for our future without parents and live without them. Thanks to Melisa and also the teachers who taught us how to make dessert.

The Catholic church On April 25, I went to the largest Catholic Church in Shanghai Xujiahui Area. It was the first church in Shanghai. We saw this church when we had arrived in Shanghai. This church was really attracted us. Because it's beautiful and western style, it looked ancient and mystery. So tomorrow morning we went there for our curiosity.
It was really serious for us because this church is illegal to take photos. And out side the church there were some volunteer people who told us some rules for visiting. For example. we cannot shout in the church, we cannot take photos in the church and so on. When we went into the church, first we saw a beautiful altar, and a famous paint above it which is called The Last Dinner. Both sides of the church, there were some people kneeled on the place and shrift to the paint in front of them.
In the middle of the church, there was a big stage. It's for some wedding people got wedding there. The church is really high and there were many paintings about Man of Sorrows on the windows. The brochure of the Romeo and Juliet showOn April 24, I went to Shanghai with Cindy, Yuki and Justin. We had a fabulous play on Saturday's night at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre which was called Romeo and Juliet. TNT Britain presented for us. Romeo and Juliet was written by William Shakespeare. Even though this show is perfect and famous for all over the world, we never know whole story clearly. So we paid whole attention on this show. Otherwise, the theatre was small, and quiet. The performers didn't use microphone and other background music; we can hear what they were talking clearly. This play performed in English with Chinese subtitle. Almost of them i could understand easily, but 1/3 they performed i need to see the subtitle to help me understand.
The play showed a story which is talked about a girl and a boy who loved each other. Romeo who was the son of Montague; he crashed a Capulet party, and met Juliet who was the daughter of Capulet. They fell in love. Since their families would disapprove, they married in secret. Romeo got in a fight with Tybalt who was the nephew of Lady Capulet, and killed him. He is banished from Verona. Capulet, not knowing that his daughter was already married, he planned marry Juliet to Paris. This made Juliet in quite a spot, so she went to the sympathetic Friar Laurence, who married her to Romeo. He suggested a daring plan to extricate her from her fix. Tragedy ensues.
The most satisfying and revealing current production of Shakespeare's wonderful play. Said Theatre World Magazine, London. Just like what they said. This show made me like seeing classic plays. I felt excited about this show and also this tour for Shanghai.

Western restaurant 2
I have been to a French restaurant with Yuki and Peter.This restaurant is near the Nanjing University. A lot of foreigners and exchange students always go there for dinner. This restaurant has been in Nanjing for a long time. It's not very big, it is just sitting into a small road which is a lane. The boss and the cook both are French, so the dishes of this restaurant are really typically.
We ordered French bread with goat cheese and vegetables, goose liver, mashed potatoes and some typical desserts. I have been in Paris for 2 months, so I am used to the taste of the French food, but all of us felt terrible when we had the Goat cheese. It smelled terrible and felt sick. We wasted a plate of goat cheese for this dinner. I really like the taste of goose liver, it was delicious.
The most wonderful thing for us is the dessert. I ordered a cream caramel. It's really nice when i put the crisp caramel into the soft cream. It taste sweet but not over sweet. So i recommend it to you for the dessert. Yuki ordered an ice-cake with hot chocolate. It also fabulous when you eat the hot chocolate and the cold ice-cake together. The taste of chocolate stands out clearly and the ice makes your mouth feel clearly about the taste of chocolate and ice-cream.
I really like French food, except the goat cheese.:) The most delicious thing is the dessert. I recommend this restaurant to you for a fabulous dinner..

Exhibition 2- Nanjing Museum

This Saturday, i went to Nanjing Museum with my grandmother.
Nanjing Museum has 8 parts for exhibition. Some is about bronze vessels, china and jade. Some is about traditional art work from Jiangsu Province, such as Nanjing Brocade and Yangzhou eight 'strangers'.
I was really attracted by china which is different with other china. The china is the sign of China, so it has the same words in English. And Chinese people really like it specific. This china is very transparent between pink and white colors. You can see the grains inside the china clearly.

There was another china with more than ten thousand Chinese word which are about one word 'Shou'（寿，means wish old people can be longevity) This china is specific of the sign of China porcelain. The color between blue and white is really beautiful and fantastic. (Picture No.1)
I also found a exhibition part which is about WuWeishan inside the Nanjing museum. His exhibition is in the sheer room with sunlight and can see the sky clearly. I saw lots of sculptures which i have been seen when we went to the exhibition on the first time. (Picture No.2)
I was really proud when i finished visiting Nanjing Museum. For the wisdom of Chinese people and our ancestors. And i also knew many knowledge about the chinese historical things and the culture about the long time before in China.

Physical Activity in the past time
The log about physical activity
when i was playing skate board
In the past time, i have learned how to play the skateboard, and knew deeply about the Chinese Traditional Cultural about Taiji Kongfu. I also use some free time for doing rope skipping at home.
I also remember the time when i learned how to play skateboard. My classmate when i was in the primary school is called Rory. He is the one of the best player in Nanjing of playing skateboard. For one day, we had a meeting about all the classmates. He played a skateboard. It looked fun. So i learned from him.
The first time i stand on the skateboard. It's harder than i think before. I dropped upon the skateboard. And it made me feel worried about playing it. I let my friend help me stand on the board. But the wheels of the board are easy go away. So i dropped down again. Rory taught me how to stand on the board is correctly. It's use the left foot stand first on the middle of the board, and stand on the one side of the board. Made my self feel relax, and sailing with the board. I studied on the side, and repeated stand and drop. For about half hour, i got some experiment which was made all the weight of your body in to the middle points of the board and made the weigh point more lower, and close to the board. It's the first lesson for me to stand on the board successfully. Then Rory taught me how to find the balance on the board when it is sailing. It made me easier. Because i found some experiments before, it has something connection with the board is sailing. Above at least 7 hours practice, now i can sailing with the skateboard and stand over it.
I also went to the Taiji School for Taiji Kongfu. I used to play Taiji when i was in the 13 years old. I can play a whole Taiji exercises before. So i used the winter holiday to play Taiji. At the first class, it's a long time for me to play it again. I forgot lots of the actions about the exercises. The teachers told me some mistakes i have taken. They also found that i can't play it peaceful and haven't do some actions satisfied. So they let me stand near the window for 15 minutes. That place can see the outside of the nature. They wanted me do the deep breathing and calm down. It's really a good way to relax, and just see the outside without thinking anything. Then played the whole Taiji with the music which is peaceful. After one class, i felt relax and comfortable, also very hot.
I tried 2 kinds of different activities in the past time. It made me feel different type of western and Chinese cultural. They were both made me to feel tired and hot. Taiji is made your inside of your body to come hot and do some activity. Skateboard made you feel something excited. I really thanks to Rory and the teacher in the Taiji School which is called Mr. Zhao. I like these two activities, I will practice continuously.
Club ---Guitar club
This is the log about club working:
I joined 2 club. One is the Guitar club, another is Fun club. The last term, The Fun club didn't have the activities. I just joined the activities about Guitar club. Christopher is the manager of the Guitar club, and he is really helpful to us. He gave me a book which is taught me how to play the classical guitar. In a very beginning class at summer, he taught me how to play the guitar with correct assured hand. So in last term, it gave me little easier to learn a song than others. At beginning, I felt tough tired to study one song, and play it craftiness. So i got less patient to play it. So i absent for one week practice. But Christopher talked to me, it's a little difficult to everyone on playing a song for starting. Lots of fundamental practices you haven't learned. So for you, it's a problem. If you practice everyday, you will play it comfortable. Then i came back to the club continues for the practicing. Christopher paid more attention to my problem when i was playing the guitar. He told me something i did wrong , and i used the time (go home) after the dinner to practice. On the weekend, i also played at home, some times i repeated for one sentence, but i didn't feel boring or upset. When you can play a song successfully, you will feel happy and a sense of accomplishment.
Problems always come at the starting time. When I played the guitar for more than 1 month, my finger got uncomfortable and always felt ache after i played the guitar. Sometimes it ached no reasons. I felt disappointed at first, but i saw Christopher's finger was covered by gauze, but he also played the guitar for us and taught us . He really like guitar, and he said, he used to be hurt by the music wire. Because of the ache, I had a rest for 2 weeks, but Christopher also taught to others with hurting fingers. When my finger is better, I came back to the club . It’s a new problem for me which is I need to adapt playing the guitar again. For the almost 4 months, I can play 2 parts of the song. I also have some trouble when I changed the wire.
I really feel happy that I joined the Guitar Club. Because Christopher is really a responsible person which is responsible to his club and our members. And I felt how deeply he loves his guitar and his music. It also taught me that if something you really like it , you have to put all your effort, and try your best to make this successful. At least you need to satisfy to something you have done according to something you are interested in. During the problems, I have gotten some success on playing guitar. I am also more interested in guitar than before. I really thanks to Christopher. He not only taught us how to play the guitar, but also taught us how to face your hobbies and do a responsible person.

I have during a terrific term and a fabulous holiday in the past time. I did much volunteer work at two places. One is the milk tea shop opposite the school of Nanjing foreign language school; another is the hospital which is called Jiangsu Province Official Hospital. I studied a lot during the volunteer work. I even studied how to take an injection to myself. I really thanks to the manager of the milk tea shop and the doctors, nurses in the hospital.
I did the work for milk tea shop for about 6 hours 15 minutes. At first, i tumbled on a talking between the manager of milk tea shop and her friend. The manager is called Kitty. She is busy on the study about the English, so she didn't have enough time for looking after her shop. at weekends. For the chances, i use my free time on the weekend to help her look after the shop. In the shop，i made the milk tea for the passenger and fried chickens to the passengers. At beginning, when there were lots of passengers in my shop, I always felt nervous and did something wrong. But when i got some experiment. Everything comes easy. For 3 day, i sole 190RMB in all.
After the Chinese New Year. I went to the Jiangsu Province Official Hospital did the volunteer work. This hospital is an official hospital for older who are the political status of retired cadres. I worked at Lesion 7 for incretion. Most of the patients have Diabetes. They didn't know enough about Diabetes. So they didn't know how to control their selves and how to do is good for their health. In my family, some relatives got this, and some relatives are doctors. So i know much information about how to control their sugar blood. And i always get lower sugar blood after doing activities, so i know the feeling when someone got lower sugar blood.
For the five days, i had some chats with the older that lived in the hospital's also studied with the nurse. They taught me how to give an injection to the patient. I also measured sugar blood to the patients for 2 days. And i also got a feeling of taking an injection to myself with the sugar blood measured machine. It a little bit different to other injectors. It's not feel ache after i got it. For the free time, i wrote 143 envelopes for the hospital. They will use the letter send to many doctors in different cities in China to join a big conversation between the interior of China and Hong Kong.
Above all the volunteer work, i think that the work i have done in the hospital is most meaningful for me. I brought many happy to the boring hospital and the lonely older. I also learned a lot in the hospital. It will give me lots of knowledge that when i study abroad, maybe some day i get sick, the things i have learned in the hospital are useful for me.
